Despite his success, Donald hasn’t had an easy road to get where he is today. As he explains, “The biggest struggle I have faced is adapting to different genres. Coming from a rock/metal background it took some time to learn writing tricks for genres like rap/hip-hop. Learning to play instruments like guitar and bass within these new styles while still adding my own flare was challenging yet fun.”
But Donald’s dedication to learning and growing as a musician has paid off. He’s now able to confidently produce tracks in a variety of genres, from pop to electronic to hip-hop. He credits his success to his willingness to constantly learn and evolve as an artist.
“I think it’s important to never stop learning,” he says. “I’m always trying to improve my skills and find new ways to bring something fresh and original to my music. Whether learning a new instrument or trying out new software, I’m always looking for ways to push myself and my music to the next level.”
Donald’s drive and determination have helped him earn the respect of his peers and a loyal fanbase. His tracks are regularly featured on top Spotify playlists and have gained traction on social media, with many fans reaching out to thank him for his unique and emotive sound.
Donald can often perform live at local venues and festivals when he’s not in the studio. He says that playing live is one of his favorite parts of being a musician. “There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being on stage and connecting with an audience,” he says. “It’s an indescribable feeling and it’s one of the reasons I love doing what I do.”
